Get lost inside the Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration

Let me state this: Prior to the Mickey Pop-up, I have never been to one of these pop-ups before. If you’re on the fence, hopefully this quick read/picture book will make you want to go.

First thing — you don’t need to have a Disneyland ticket to go. And, they’ll validate your parking in Downtown Disney. You can purchase tickets ahead of time or walk up to experience the fun (note they may not have walk-in times available).

Mickey wasn’t my favorite character growing up, but Disney really did a great job pulling out the stops for this one. When you first enter, you’ll get your biggest dose of Minnie Mouse.

The classics: black & white

I literally could have stood all day next to the wall full of Mickey plush dolls. They’ve also got polka dots, a steamboat to captain, and the cartoon strip vibe on point. But the plush dolls were the highlight of the room.

The art deco

Disney’s take on modern art meets Mickey. I loved that it felt like each of Mickey’s friends took a stab at their own version of Mickey… that’s really the only unique thing about this room.

Bring on the lights

By far, this was my favorite of all the rooms. My tip would be to make sure that your group is spaced out and not many people are behind you because this room is TIMED when it’s packed.

Yummmmm

One of the best things about Disney is the treats, right?! Outside of the lights, this was a favorite of mine. My sister is obsessed with the Mickey shaped ice cream, even though it doesn’t taste much different than Dairy Queen, it’s still a classic.

This wasn’t everything you’ll see inside, but it definitely covers the highlights. I had to leave some element of surprise for you! Make sure to check it out in Downtown Disney while it’s still there.
